Still no frog!!

  • I have a container pond and dreaming of frogs or toads. My garden runneth over with big fat slugs. Sadly no one wants to move in. I will wait patiently and continue my defence of my hapless plants. I have a very small sunny garden....any ideas on marketing to well behaved amphibians with small families?

  • Have you tried Yoo Hoo...over heeeere!???

I'm not sure marketing's my thing. image

They'll come. Word'll get out and they'll come. I'll bet the birds love it. image

  • Our neighbour's cat bought our first frog to our pond - luckily the frog was still intact after being taunted for a while by the cat.  Cats do love to catch frogs as much as mice or birds so could a cat be the reason for the lack of frogs in your pond lovegardening?

Frogs only spend a short period of time in water and the rest is spent hiding under large leaves or pieces of wood and any damp or cool area of the garden that takes their fancy.

  • Hoooraaaay!!!!!!! I found a little frog in the long grass on my front lawn?. Unfortunately he crept off before I could direct him to my pond!!!! My dream came true!?

  • Yaaaaaayyyy!!!! Congratulations! image

I have a huge pond and I've only ever seen one small frog in it. I always see them wandering about the grass...in front of the lawnmower!!! image

  • Hi all, I recently installed a small pond I've installed a camera over the pond to watch for wildlife, I get frogs nearly every night, if it wasn't for the camera I would never know they had been there.

  • You maybe need to advertise a little, like I did.....

  • Haha love the photos. Hmm maybe I should get a camera too?
